The Valiant Universe is growing again – a new four-issue Prestige-format series called Secret Weapons looks to shake things up for the company.
With Secret Weapons #1, Oscar®-nominated writer Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and Harvey Award-nominated artists Raul Allen (Wrath of the Eternal Warrior) and Patricia Martin (Bloodshot Reborn) will launch Livewire in her first solo adventure as she recruits a new generation of superhumans – seen as failures by their creator but as secret weapons by her.
Secret Weapons #1 will be in stores on June 5th.

The success of Valiant’s historical/mystery limited series Britannia has led the announcement, today, that a second limited series – Britannia: We Who Are About To Die – once again featuring Antonius Axia, the world’s first detective.
When Romans are plagued by apparent visions of the god Apollo, the arrested Chief Vestal, Rubria, is able to give just one clue – Achillia, a female gladiator who is one win away from earning her freedom.
Britannia: We Who Are About to Die comes from writer Peter Milligan and artist Juan Jose Ryp and will be released in the Valiant Prestige format. The first issue – with covers by Cary Nord (X-O Manowar, Conan), David Mack (Daredevil), Adam Gorham (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe), Dave Johnson will be in stores on April 26th.
Valiant Entertainment’s flagship comic, X-O Manowar is making some dramatic changes in the new year – beginning with a brand new #1 issue that kicks off a an epic new storyline created by Matt Kindt with a rotating cast of amazing artists, including: Tomas Giorello, Doug Braithwaite, Clayton Crain, Ryan Bodenheim, and Mico Suayan.
After finally finding a kind of peace, Aric of Dacia finds himself once again forced to don the X-O suit for another’s cause. They want him to be a soldier but he will become much more than that.

On December 17th, Seattle’s Comics dungeon will be hosting a signing with Valiant’s feline cosplayers Fawkes and Nak, alongside Freyu – creator of Cat Cosplay of the Feline Variety blog and trusted human – together the creators of Valiant’s cat cosplay alternative covers – which can be signed/paw printed between noon and 4 pm PT.
A portion of the proceeds from all VALIANT CAT COSPLAY COVERS sold will benefit the Brooklyn Animal Rescue Coalition (BARC), a New York-based non-profit that operates a beloved, no-kill shelter for cats and dogs in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood.
