Dad Puts People Like Us In Jail Trailer: The Gifted!

The first full-length trailer for FOX’s Marvel series The Gifted has been released and it gives us a look at why the Stewart family has gone on the run – an unfortunate response to bullying has provoked an uncontrolled reaction from son Andy.

What makes this so important is that his sister, Lauren, also has powers – and their father, Reed, works for the agency (Sentinel Services) that hunts down and sequesters mutants away from the general public – ‘to secure the safety of the community.’

Person of Interest: Shaw’s Back!

POI s5.04 Eyeball

Person of Interest (CBS, Mondays and Tuesdays, 10/9C) has taken us through rebuilding The Machine and Her problems with facial recognition and time and now, we get to see Sameen Shaw for the first time since she sacrificed herself so that the rest of the team could escape certain death.

As the blurb for the May 16th episode, 6,741, reads, ‘Shaw escapes her captors, but the team is unsure of her mental state when she begins to act paranoid and reckless.’

That is, as they say, the understatement of the year.

Person of Interest: Can You See Me?

Season five opens with Harold, Reese and Root on the run and dodging Samaritan operatives – while Fusco is facing Internal Affairs over the deaths of Elias and Dominic.

Amy Acker chats about Person Of Interest

Skilled computer hacker Root (Amy Acker) had a rocky start with Sameen Shaw and the rest of the Machine Gang in season 1.  Later, she became a vital link to talking with The Machine.  As season 3 ended, she created seven blind spots in Samaritan, corresponding to seven separate identities to ensure survival of the team.  The team dispersed with their new identities.  As season 4 starts, Harold Finch lost his desire for the numbers and The Machine.  Root reignites that passion and meets up with the rest of the gang as new challenges await them. TELEVISION: Happy Town – Twin Peaks Via American Gothic!

Happy Town - Cast

Happy Town’s [ABC, Wednesdays, 10/9C] Haplin, Minnesota is a small town where everyone seems determined to be happy, possibly because after seven years of people mysteriously vanishing, things have been – relatively speaking – normal. Into this seemingly normal small town comes Henley Boone [Lauren German], a smart, pretty young woman who says she’s going to use an inheritance to open a candle shop. Her arrival comes on the heels of the unusual murder of the town eccentric by way of a chisel in the forehead – his screams heard only by a local girl who’s been dropped off by her boyfriend so her parents won’t know [yup, it’s yer basic Romeo & Juliet, subplot].
