AMC is launching two new initiatives for fans of The Walking Dead and Feat the Walking Dead: The Walking Dead Fan Rewards Club and The Walking Dead Subscription Box (working title).
Fans can earn points for things they’re probably already doing (watching the show; posting comments and discussions online, etc.) through the rewards club, while the subscription box will be a quarterly box of exclusive TWD/FtWD-related, limited edition merchandise from the shows.
Both initiatives will go into effect in September – in time for The Walking Dead’s milestone 100th episode and the premiere of the second half of Fear the Walking Dead’s third season.
The first edition of Norman Lear’s podcast, All of the Above, debuts today with inaugural guest Amy Poehler.
Subjects that came up include: religious history and its effect on human kind, Amy’s recent pilot with Carol Burnett and how Burnett inspired her high school musical performance in Once Upon a Mattress, and the differing points of views across generations.
Disney/ABC Television Group, in partnership with FosterMore, is working to bring awareness around and support the work of foster families, social workers, community organizations and others that are working to improve the lives of young people in foster care across the country during National Foster Care Month this May.
The company will focus on three tent-pole events, beginning with #HackFosterCareLosAngeles, dedicated to solving five key challenges with the foster care system; Foster Mother’s Day, an event celebrating foster families with a fun-filled day of food, games and family activities; and the premiere of the FosterMore public service announcement, which will feature real kids and adults who have been a part of the foster care system.
