Marvel’s Daredevil S3 Disappoints. Michelle’s Review

As someone who used to avidly collect Daredevil back in the 80s and early 90s, I have to admit, I’ve never been a fan of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix. It’s a solid show, but it is so relentlessly dour and one note that I just found it hard to get into. Season Three Daredevil is devoid of “humor” any kind of “lightness” and almost every character is just depressing to watch. Everyone on this show look like they need a psychiatrist as everyone is suffering from some form of PTSD. Netflix made the first 6 episodes available for review and honestly it was a struggle to get through the first three.

Comics fans will immediately recognize the name of Benjamin Poindexter, he’s introduced in Marvel’s Daredevil: Season3 as Agent Benjamin Poindexter – an FBI agent with a unique set of skills.

The new video released by Netflix at New York Comic Con 2018 takes a closer look at “Agent Dex’ (watch out for a telling baseball cap with a very familiar logo).

The new trailer for Marvel’s Daredevil: Season 3 shows, Matt Murdock once again patrolling Hell’s Kitchen – though with his suit gone, he dons a familiar makeshift outfit.

We also get a bit more of a look at Wilson Fisk – and a gun wielding Daredevil?  But how can this be?

Marvel’s Iron Fist S2 Returns to Kick Ass and Chew Bubble Gum. Michelle’s Review

Apparently, I’m one of the few people in the entire world who liked the first season of Marvel’s Iron Fist – more than Daredevil and Jessica Jones. I recognize the main flaw of the series was the lead character himself Danny Rand (Iron Fist) played by a sort of vacant Finn Jones, but I’m not sure what people expected out this series. The character has never been a top tier Marvel hero and has always been pretty weird and introspective, so the show captured that aspect fairly well. What made Season One work for me were all the side stories and the family dynamic between Rand and his childhood friends Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup) and her brother Harold Meachum (David Wenham).

Daredevil The Complete First Season Comes to Blu-ray and the world asks Why?

daredevilbluray

One of Netflix’s biggest hits, Daredevil: The Complete First Season arrives on Blu-ray November 8th just in time for the holidays! The Blu-ray will include all 13 episodes of it’s groundbreaking first season.  The question is why bother? It’s available on Netflix, because, um, it’s a Netflix Original and it’s available in 4K on Netflix. I know most of you don’t give a crap about 4k, but since I have a 4k TV, I do. Other annoying thing is, it’s only Season One when if they are going to release this, at least give us both seasons in one nice package. There are no announced extras. However, my negativism aside I’m still going to ask the studio to send me a copy! Hey, it’s Daredevil!

Marvel’s Daredevil: Season Two comes to Netflix on Friday, March 18th. Check out the new trailer after the break.
