Point Break takes the basic plot and characters from the Patrick Swayze-Keanu Reeves cult classic and fashions them into a gorgeously shot, intense thriller that hides its characters’ one-notedness behind brilliant cinematography and ridiculously cool stunts.

Our Brand Is Crisis: Our Brand Is In Crisis!
Our Brand Is Crisis is the fictionalized tale of the 2005 election in Bolivia that resulted in a government that was overthrown six months later. It’s the story of the campaign to elect former president Pedro Castillo fifteen years after he last held office – or rather, it’s the story of the battle between the […]

When a Bolivian presidential candidate falls far behind in the polls, American strategist “Calamity” Jane Bodine is brought in to turn things around. Our Brand Is Crisis […]
We Are Your Friends: Sincerity Counts for Something!
We Are Your Friends is a rags to (almost) riches tale of a young DJ who stumbles into the mentorship of a once great DJ and falls in love with his girlfriend – all while trying to maintain a loyalty to a very Entourage-ish group of far less cool friends. Despite hitting many of the […]

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. opens with a breathtaking chase sequence as Napoleon Solo engineers an escape from East Germany (over the Berlin Wall) for a pretty auto mechanic named Gaby – who is the daughter of a missing nuclear scientist who has just revolutionized the creation of enriched uranium. Solo has to work for the […]
Single Generation Trailer: The Intern!
Warner Bros.’ The Intern stars Anne Hathaway as Jules, a woman who has created a company that – in a year-and-a-half – has blossomed from her home to a cool office in a prestigious building and has 250 employees. Ben is a 70-year old retiree with ‘a hole in my life that I need to […]
Deep, Dark Trailer: The 33!
For 69 days in 20110, the eyes of the world were on Chile, where thirty-three miners were trapped after an explosion collapsed a 100-year old gold mine on top of them. Now, the blessing and cooperation of the miners, their families and their rescuers, their story – with previously unseen events – has been turned […]
Vacation – Maybe a Staycation Would Have Been a Better Idea!
Vacation, the 29-years later sequel to National Lampoon’s Vacation, is a rude, crass hard R-rated comedy that I really should have liked – but didn’t. One of a handful of silent viewers in a full theater of howling people, I just found Vacation to be mean-spirited and, with a few exceptions, terribly unfunny.
Killer Footage: Suicide Squad!
Warner Bros. Comic-Con footage for Suicide Squad has been released thanks to pirates. Piracy may be bad, but this footage is definitely not – in fact, it’s almost disturbingly good. Check it out after the jump. Suicide Squad, written by David Ayer and John Ostrander and directed by Ayer, premieres on August 5, 2016.
