Comic-Con 2015 Panel: NBC’s The Player!

One of the more entertaining new shows premiering this fall is NBC’s The Player. Centered on Alex, an ex-Special Forces soldier who works as a security consultant and gets caught up in an operation possessed of technology that can predict crime.

Unlike a certain series on another network, here the crime predicting technology was created by the 1% of the 1% of the 1% not to solve or prevent crime, but to let them bet on whether it succeeds or fails. It’s all set up like an uber-casino.

Wesley Snipes’ Mr. Johnson is the pit boss; Charity Wakefield’s Cassandra is the dealer, and Philip Winchester’s Alex is the player – the bettors put money on whether he can solve/prevent each crime. The series premieres on Thursday, September 24th (10/9C).

Series creator John Rogers and stars Winchester and Snipes were present for The Player’s Comic-Con panel. Check it out after the jump.

Check it out after the jump. The Shannara Chronicles premiere in January 2016.
