The first Suicide Squad trailer proclaimed ‘this is a film!’ The second suggested, ‘This is Film – but with these characters it will be fun!’
The new trailer focuses completely on the fun part of that equation with Harley leading the way and Deadshot getting a pretty great moment, too – set to Sweet’s Ballroom Blitz. The whole ‘Worst. Heroes. Ever.’ thing still applies…
Check it out after the break. Suicide Squad opens on August 5th.
The first trailer for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice was ponderous, portentous and pretentious. It really worried me. Then the succeeding trailers told us that we were getting Lex Luthor and Doomsday in the same movie – on top of adding the introduction of Wonder Woman. That seemed like an awful lot of apples to put in one basket – but there’s actually more than that in the movie.
In Jeff Nichols’ (Mud, Take Shelter) Midnight Special, a man takes his son, Alton, the run. What at first appears to be a flight from religious extremists becomes something more. Just as Alton is something more…
Midnight Special will be in theaters on March 18th. Check out the new trailer after the break.
I keep hoping against hope to see something from this movie that will get me excited. I love Batman, I love Superman, put them together and we should have Super Hero nirvana, but all signs point to this movie being a disaster of epic proportions.
I think this is Zac Snyder’s plan to lower expectations so much that by the time we see the film, we’ll walk in with a deep sense of foreboding and come away jazzed at how “awesome,” it was. It’s my hope anyway, it’s the only way to explain this wretched marketing campaign. This final trailer isn’t as bad as the others.
Eddie Redmayne plays Newt Scamander in Warner Bros. Pictures’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He, director David Yates and key members of the cast give us a look at this unique new film – written by J.K. Rowling.
Check it out after the jump. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in November.
The teaser trailer for Suicide Squad was dark and twisted and very cinematic – it was the one of the best trailers of the second half of 2015.
A new trailer aired on a CW special about the upcoming Warner Bros. movies that establish what host Kevin Smith called the ‘Justice League Universe.’ The new trailer puts a little more emphasis on the individuals that comprise the Suicide Squad and it is truly bananas.
Suicide Squad opens on March 25th. Check the new trailer out after the break.
Point Break takes the basic plot and characters from the Patrick Swayze-Keanu Reeves cult classic and fashions them into a gorgeously shot, intense thriller that hides its characters’ one-notedness behind brilliant cinematography and ridiculously cool stunts.
