The thing I hate most about Junkets are the embargoes. Damn the embargoes. I have so much I want to say about S2 of WGN’s Outsiders, but I have to wait until December. The cast will have a big panel at NYCC, October 9th and everyone will be able to talk about S2, but me? I have to wait. Gah. I’m pretty sure they will show the 20 minute preview reel that we saw at the junket a few months ago. Fans will be in for some surprises. Season 2 promises to be full on cray with a little Misery thrown in Mr. Man. S2 will hit the network January 24th, 2017.
Following the WGN America’s success with “Salem” and “Manhattan,” the burgeoning cable net dives into the rugged and mysterious Appalachian story of the Farrell clan, a family of renegades who’ve been in the hills of Kentucky since before anyone can remember.
We caught up with Producers Peter Mattei & Peter Tolan and some folks from the large ensemble: Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy,) David Morse (Treme, and a boatload of my fav movies including Long Kiss Goodnight – “If you let me go, I’ll leave the use of your legs”), Gillian Alexy (Royal Pains) and more. Outsiders premieres January 26th on WGN America.
