Post-grad student Lucy is on her way home to introduce her boyfriend to her grandmother while on a break. As they head for the train, they realize that it’s unusually quiet – then in the empty subway station, the silence is broken by a man on fire.
If you didn’t catch Game Three of the NBA Finals last night, there’s a good chance you missed this lovely, tension-packed teaser for James Bond #24, Spectre – and I don’t care what name he’s using, Christoph Waltz’s villain is Blofeld (a stinkweed by any other name…).
Check it out after the jump. Spectre explodes into theaters November 6th.
This evening’s advance screening of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was notable for two things: 1 – it is, undeniably, the movie of the summer and 2 – in attendance was a very beautiful, very green young woman who, as I listened, filled her boyfriend in on the complete history of Gamora. After the movie, I asked what she thought and, yes, Guardians of the Galaxy is Gamora approved.
On Tuesday, July 22nd, members of the Guardians of the Galaxy team will answer fan questions in two online Q&A events.
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, director James Gunn, and producer Kevin Feige will answer questions from Twitter HQ in San Francisco beginning at 2:30pm EDT/11:30am PDT; that evening, Yahoo Entertainment will host Pratt, Saldana, Bautista, Gunn and Feige on the Yahoo campus in Sunnyvale, California, for a live Tumblr Ask Q&A. There will exclusive footage from the film and fans will have a chance to win a movie poster signed by the cast.
The more footage I see from Guardians of the Galaxy, the more convinced I am that Marvel got it right, big time. James Gunn really seems to have a lock on this part of the Marvel Universe (which I expected from his previous, extremely warped work). As further proof, I submit the new, extended trailer that follows the jump. I AM GROOT!
Guardians of Galaxy opens galaxy wide on August 1st (I’m with them…)
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is just a month-and-a-half away and Marvel is taking it to the streets with a series of ‘bus top’ character posters beginning with Peter ‘Star Lord’ Quill (above). Follow the jump for Gamora, Drax the Destroyer and the team of Rocket Raccoon and Groot.
Guardians of the Galaxy rockets (sorry!) into theaters on August 1st.
