The season finale of The Expanse (Syfy, Tuesday, 10/9C) is thrilling, scary and just a wee bit convoluted – pretty much like the rest of season one. It ramps up the danger while answering some big questions and setting some very big wheels in motion.
Then it ends on a cliffhanger of epic proportions…

The Expanse (Syfy, Tuesdays, 10/9C) has been carefully weaving together a series of plotlines involving political leaders on Earth, the survivors of an ice mining ship called the Canterbury and a cop who’d been given the task of finding the heir to an Earther billionaire who’d gone missing.
Along the way, the events lurking behind these plotlines had made for a cold-war-heating-up scenario between Earth, Mars and the people of asteroid belt. Now, however, things are coming together – not necessarily in a good way.

Less than halfway into its first season, Syfy’s The Expanse has been renewed for a second season.
Based on the novels of James S.A. Corey, the first season has been following several characters in different places – including Earth, Mars and the asteroid belt – as a hard-boiled police detective in Ceres Station works a missing persons case that could lead either igniting or preventing an interplanetary war.
