My thoughts on the show follow.
EGOT winner John Legend will serve as a coach on the upcoming spring cycle of NBC’s four-time Emmy-winning musical competition series The Voice.
He will join returning judges Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and host Carson Daly.
Season 15 of The Voice premieres on Monday, September 24th (NBC, 8/7C).
Kevin Hart will co-host The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon when he appears on the show on Wednesday, September 19th.
NBC’s musical competition series “The Voice” will debut its first-ever, 10-part “Comeback Stage” companion series in its upcoming 15th season, premiering Monday, Sept. 24 8/7C).
Kelsea Ballerini will serve as the companion series’ fifth coach and mentor six deserving comeback artists who did not get past the Blind Auditions. These six will compete for a chance to re-enter The Voice competition and earn a spot in the Top 13 live shows in November.
The Comeback Stage series will air on several platforms, including YouTube, The Voice Official App, IGTV (Instagram), Facebook and NBC.com beginning on Monday, September 24th.
Dick Wolf’s Law & Order universe is expanding with the announcement that NBC has placed a 13-episode order for Law & Order: Hate Crimes – based on New York city’s actual Hate Crimes Task Force.
Law & Order: Hate Crimes is set in New York City, where crimes motivated by discrimination are vigorously investigated by an elite, specially trained team of investigators. Going behind the headlines and viral videos, these diverse, dedicated and passionate detectives will stop at nothing to bring these criminals to justice.
The series will be introduced in the latter part of Law & Order: SVU’s upcoming 20th season.
Simon Cowell has reupped as one of the panel of judges on America’s Got Talent.
Cowell, who created the format, is also being honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
NBC is ordering a second season of its summer DIY competition series Making It.
Hosted by “Parks and Recreation” alums and best friends Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman (who made a DIY pun-off video to celebrate), Making It is a uniquely lighthearted competition series that celebrates the creativity and craftiness in all of us.
Making It” airs Tuesdays (10/9C). The six-episode first season, which premiered on July 31, concludes September 4th.
