So, same old, same old.
The Librarians return with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, December 20th (8/7C).
TNT’s fantasy series The Librarians has been renewed for a fourth season after a season that posted an average of 5.4 million viewers per episode.
Based on TNT’s hit movie franchise, The Librarians centers on an ancient organization dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around it.
The Librarians’ third season concluded this past Sunday.
Despite moving into darker dramatic realms, TNT is maintaining its balance between darker and lighter with the renewal of The Librarians (the lighter), Murder in the First (the darker) and Major Crimes (somewhere in the middle).

TNT hit New York Comic-Con 2015 this week with three of its fall shows. On Thursday, Sean Bean and executive producer Ken Biller screened the first episode of the completely reimagined spy thriller Legends. On Friday, Rebecca Romijn and the cast of The Librarians took the stage with executive producer Dean Devlin to talk about the second season of the blockbuster hit. And Jeff Hephner popped in to introduce and sneak peek of TNT’s spy drama Agent X (above).

TNT has released an extended trailer for season two of The Librarians. It’s got Frankenstein’s creature, ninjas and a supercilious narrator. What more could you ask for?
Check it out after the break. The Librarians returns with a two-hour premiere on Sunday, November 1st (8/7C).
TNT has four hot shows aimed at the 2015 Fall Schedule: The Librarians: Season Two, Major Crimes: Season Four Part 2, Legends Season Two and Agent X, making its series premiere.
The Librarians broke out last winter with an adventurous/magical dramedy that felt reminiscent of Warehouse 13, and Agent X takes shadowy government agencies to a new and narrower level: John Case aka Agent X is the ultimate clandestine agent, operated at the direction of the Vice-President of the United States only when all else fails and ultimate discretion (even from the President) is required.
Legend continues the story of the FBI agent whose entire life seems to be a lie – and who is wanted for a murder he didn’t commit. Season Two features a new supporting cast, with Sean Bean (still not dead!) returning as the apparently nameless agent.
Major Crimes is second only to Rizzoli & Isles as the summer’s most watched basic cable dramas. For fall premiere times, the season two Librarians trailer and more, follow the jump.
TNT has turned the page to Chapter Two, ordering another season of magical dramedy series The Librarians. The fantasy series proved to be one of the hottest shows on cable last season, pulling in an audience approaching 11.4 million each week.
The Librarians’ second season will, once again, be ten episodes and will premiere later this year. For more, follow the jump.
TNT has resurrected The Library and Librarian Flynn Carsen. Thankfully, the two-hour series premiere – The Librarians and The Crown of King Arthur/The Librarians and The Sword in the Stone –hew closer to the delightfully odd first TNT movie, The Librarian: Quest for the Spear than its sequels in terms of quality. If the first two episodes are a fair sampling, then The Librarians (TNT, Sundays, 8/7C) is deliciously sly and deliriously fun.
