Being Human’s Sam Huntington Talks His Oddly Appropriate Appearance On Face Off!

NUP_146546_0010.JPG

Sam Huntington of Being Human [Syfy, Mondays, 10/9C] is appearing as a guest judge on Face Off [Syfy, Wednesdays, 10/9C] this week, charged with helping judge an appropriate challenge – creating a makeup effect for the ravages of a werewolf attack.

Last Monday, Huntington talked with bloggers/journalists about the second season of Being Human and the opportunity to appear as an expert judge on Face Off. As usual, Huntington’s excitement and enthusiasm was infectious.

Being Human Cast Has Scary Fun Time Talking Season Two!

NUP_146839_0462.jpg

In honor of the manner in which Syfy’s Being Human [Mondays, /89C] is departing from the Being Human UK map and striking of on its own, Stars Sam Huntington, Sam Witwer and Meaghan Rath took part in a conference call with a number of reporters/bloggers.

As with last season’s call, the unique chemistry the three share came through clearly – as did their somewhat off-center sense of humor. It short, everyone who took parts – at either end of the connection – had a lot of fun. Despite the ‘technical difficulties’ that caused a bit of a delay, the Q&A remains relevant because the trio didn’t just talk about second season premiere. Enjoy.

Being Human Sets Out On Its Own For Season Two!

NUP_146839_0309.jpg

Being Human [Syfy, Mondays, 9/8C] returns with one big change – the series is no longer tied to the continuity of its UK progenitor. Although it continues to share its basic mythology, the U.S. version has struck out on its own – with intriguing results.

Sam Witwer – Being Human’s Vampire Roommate Just Keeps Going, And Going, and Going!

Aidan - Phillipe Bosse-syfy

One of the best signs that an actor is enjoying his job is when that actor turns a thirty-minute conference call into a ninety-minute one. Such was the case when I took part in the Sam Witwer conference call in support of Syfy’s newest scripted hit, Being Human [Mondays, 9/8C].

One of the interesting things about conference calls is that you always get a few questions about the subjects other work, so here we learn some interesting things – like how Witwer’s guest appearance on NCIS played a role in a part of the star Wars saga. All that plus, The Crashton!

Being Human Takes Work!

beinghuman_press

Being Human [Syfy, Monday, 10/9C] is a re-imaging of a very good British series about three supernatural beings – a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf – who share an apartment. The Syfy version starts in the same place but then takes some very interesting – and different – directions. As someone who has seen the original, I found the American version to be different enough to be enjoyed on its own merits.

It’s Hard Being Human – Show’s Stars and Executive Producers Talk About Why!

cast

Syfy’s new supernatural series, Being Human, premiering on Monday [10/9C], is an American take on the British series of the same name – about three supernatural characters [a ghost, vampire and werewolf] that come to be sharing a house and trying to blend in with us normal folks.

On Wednesday, Syfy gave a number of bloggers/journalists a chance to talk with two of the show’s stars – Sam Huntington, who plays the werewolf, Josh, and Meagan Rath, who plays the ghost, sally – and the show’s executive directors/showrunners, Jeremy Carver and Anne Fricke.

The resulting session was highly entertaining and, occasionally, a bit silly. Check it out.
