NBC’s Making It is a crafts-based competition series that brings together eight of the country’s most talented Makers to tackle a variety of handmade projects with the hopes of impressing series creators/hosts Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman as well as judges Simon Doonan, Creative Ambassador for Barneys New York, and Dayna Isom Johnson, Etsy trend expert.
Amy Poehler, self-Proclaimed crafting novice and her former Parks and Recreation co-star Nick Offerman will host an NBC unscripted series called The Handmade Project.
Each week eight of America’s best all-around makers, from all walks of life, will undertake a series of projects they must complete in their own unique way with the hopes of impressing Poehler, Offerman and a panel of expert judges.
Me and Earl and the Dying girl won both the Judges and audience Prizes at Sundance this year. The tale of Greg – who simply seeks to get through high school senior year anonymously but is pressured by his mom to speak to a girl he hasn’t spoken to since kindergarten – looks to be charming, offbeat, funny and maybe a wee bit poignant.
Check out the trailer after the jump. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl opens on June 12th.
Prepare to begin your farewells – Parks and Recreation will begin its final season on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 (8/7C). The final season will run back-to-back episode leading up to a one-hour series finale on Tuesday, February 24th. For more, follow the jump.
