Brandon Sanderson Plans Multimedia Project: Dark One!

FremantleMedia North America Random House Studio today announced a milestone partnership with best-selling fantasy novelist Brandon Sanderson.

Sanderson’s Dark One will be a TV series, graphic novel and a series of ‘supplementary, multi-volume books that will expand on the storyline from the show and further explore subsidiary characters.’

Paulo Coelho Novels To Be Adapted Into Original Crime Thriller TV Series!

Three novels by Brasilian author Paulo Coelho are being developed as an original crime thriller series for television by Fremantlemedia North America and Dancing Ledge Productions.

Based on the characters and themes from The Devil and Miss Prym, Brida and The Witch of Portobello, the series will explore the human condition, celebrating Coelho’s multi-layered storytelling.

Coelho will introduce each episode and share thoughts on its themes.

FremantleMedia North America Set To Bring Astro City To Television!

FremantleMedia North America, the studio behind the acclaimed American Gods TV series, has obtained the rights to Astro City – a creator owned comic series that has garnered dozens of awards in its two decades plus run.

The pilot will be co-written by series creator Kurt Busiek and Rick Alexander.

American Gods Greenlit By Starz!

Neil Gaiman’s award-winning novel American Gods is coming to television! Starz has given the greenlight to the television adaptation, with Bryan Fuller and Michael Green on board to write and executive produce.

“I am thrilled, ?scared, delighted, nervous and a ball of glorious anticipation. The team that is going to bring the world of American Gods to the screen has been assembled like the master criminals in a caper movie: I’m relieved and confident that my baby is in good hands.
