We’re going to see Rey again well before the next Star Wars film premieres at year’s end – in fact, she figures prominently in the new trailer for Star Wars: forces of Destiny.
One of the cool things about Star Wars: Forces of Destiny is that it features the character, voiced by Daisy Ridley, as one of several female characters whose lives will be explored in adventures before or perhaps in sync with the films.
Other characters to be featured include Jyn Erso (voiced by Felicity Jones), Ahsoka Tano (voiced again by Ashley Eckstein) , Princess/Senator Leia and more.
Star Wars Forces of Destiny premieres on YouTube.com/Disney on July 3rd.
Lucasfilm has released fourteen images from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and they are as tantalizing as the first look photos for The Force Awakens.
Rey (Daisy Ridley), standing alone, on the edge of the ocean; a barren desert (followed by the same shot except for the spacecraft that may be about to land/crash on it; land vehicles speeding across the sand like something out of Mad Max; Finn (John Boyega) either dead or in suspended animation; Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaacs) running down a ship’s corridor; the Millennium Falcon firing on… something; a burning city; a space armada (then the same space armada with one of its ships burning), and, finally, standing in the entrance to a cave, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).
Each photo is isolated – no context at all – and that’s what makes them so intriguing. How do they all connect within the framework of the film? (Double click to embiggen)
