Choose a Font Red Band Trailer: The Brothers Grimsby!
One’s MI6’s top spy, the other’s a football hooligan. Mark Strong and Sasha Baron Cohen are The Brothers Grimsby. Pity them. The Brothers Grimsby premieres on March 11th. Check out the new and very much NSFW trailer following the jump.

The 5th Wave Is Just Too Obvious!
The idea of a teenaged girl leading the forces of good to victory over seemingly overwhelming odds is one of the most used tropes in YA fiction. The 5th Wave is only the latest movie to riff on that idea. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of everyone involved, it’s just too easy to figure out […]
Concussion – The NFL Vs. Bennett C. Omalu MD!
Dr. Bennett C. Omalu is the Nigerian-American coroner who identified the brain damage that was the cause of mental health issues for ex-NFL players. The story is, as they used to say, ‘ripped from the headlines’ – and given that the NFL has just backed out of a concussion study at a Boston University, its […]
Not So Happy Reunion Trailer: The Brothers Grimsby!
Separated as children, the Brothers Grimsby take different paths – one becomes the world’s greatest spy; the other a football hooligan. Their reunion may be the end of the world. OOPS! The Brothers Grimsby opens on March 11, 2016. Check out the new trailer after the break.
The Night Before Christmas Rogen/Goldberg Style – Crude with Heart!
Three buddies who have celebrated Christmas Eve together since 2001 set out to make their final leg of the tradition in style – a good trick since they have none. It’s like a grand quest featuring the Three Stooges, only with the humor coming from emotional/existential pain.
I Expect You To Die, Mr. Bond Trailer: Spectre!
Every time there’s any new footage in a trailer for Spectre, I am more and more convinced that Christoph Waltz’s Franz Oberhauser is really Ernst Stavro Blofeld – all he needs is a fluffy white cat… Seriously, check out the new teaser after the jump and see what you think. Spectre opens on November 6th.
Goosebumps – Inspired Silliness!
Goosebumps plays on the conceit that the monsters in R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps actually exist and are kept trapped in the pages of those books. Thus, when one is unlocked and opened, the monster escapes. It’s a simple, incredibly silly premise – but those are often the best kind (Monster Squad, anyone?)
New Poster: Spectre Goes Formal!
Bond is back and he’s gone formal! Check out the cool new poster for Spectre after the jump. Spectre opens on November 6th.
Pixels – Hi-Tech 8-Bit Fun!
As someone who got really good at Galaga in the eighties – and had found Adam Sandler virtually intolerable in everything he did after Funny People – I was pleasantly surprised by how often I laughed at Pixels. Even the premise – aliens misinterpret a message of simple greetings that included samples of arcade games […]
