A group of former Special Forces operatives reunite to plan a heist in a sparsely populated multi-border zone of South America. For the first time in their prestigious careers these unsung heroes undertake this dangerous mission for self instead of country.
Triple Frontier stars Ben Affleck, Adria Arjona, Garrett Hedlund, Charlie Hunnam, Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal – and will premiere on Netflix and in select theaters in March.
Guy Ritchie made his bones (so to speak) on hard-edged crime films with wicked humor and striking visuals. Then he went big budget with Sherlock Holmes and provided a very different (but surprisingly canonical) consulting detective. Next up was the criminally underrated The Man From U.N.C.L.E. – the best non-Bond Bond flick since the first Jason Bourne.
Now Ritchie is dissecting and reassembling the Arthur legend in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword – and it’s a very kinetic movie that is also, simultaneously, more than a bit of a slog.
Crimson Peak is Guillermo Del Toro’s passion project – the one he has worked on for years (as many as his H.P. Lovecraft adaptation? Probably). It’s a classic ghost story set in a big old mansion in which there are areas that ‘are not safe.’
The cast – which is pretty awesome – includes Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam. Legendary Pictures has released a new trailer that you can see immediately following the jump.
