Gotham (FOX, Thursdays, 8/7C) opens its fourth season with some intriguing developments – crime is down in Gotham city and the Penguin is leveraging that in a unique way as he prepares to open his new club, the Iceberg Lounge.

In a dark alley, Bruce Wayne is stepping up his efforts to make the city even safer.

SDCC 2017: Greatest Hits & Upcoming Thrills Trailer: Gotham: Season 4!

Warner Bros. Television brought a very dark Gotham sizzle reel to Sn Diego for Comic-Con 2017 – just over four of its almost six-minutes run through some of the many key moments of Season Three.

It’s the last minute-and-a-half where we get to see some spectacular teases for Season Four: Bruce in action; Selina in action; the unveiling of the frosty centerpiece at Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge; a glimpse of someone/something like a rabid Joker and the first appearance of a certain Crane alias.

Gotham returns on Thursday, September 28th (FOX, 8/7C).

Gotham Is On Fire!

Since the beginning of season two, Gotham (FOX, Mondays, 8/7C) has been embracing its comic book origins in a way that has allowed its writers to go to weird places. Rise of the Villains: By Fire continues that trend. It’s approaching Frank Miller intensity (minus the rampant misogyny) in its gothic/noir sensibilities.

Dark(er) Times Coming For Gotham!

When Gotham (FOX, Mondays, 9/8C) went on its winter hiatus, things were looking grim – Alfred in hospital; the possibility of a hit put out on Bruce Wayne, Barbara seeing Jim Gordon kissing Dr. Leslie Thompkins…

Now FOX has released a teaser for the remainder of Gotham’s debut season and, no surprise, things are looking grimmer than ever. Check it out after the jump.

Gotham: Surprise! Murder In Arkham Asylum!

The second half of Gotham’s (FOX, Mondays, 8/7C) first season gets underway with Rogues Gallery – the first time we get to see Jim Gordon at work after his demotion. The mid-season premiere opens with Shakespeare and ends with (among other things) a chilling promise.

Video: Gotham–What Inspires the Evolution of Villains?

One of the more intriguing aspects of Fox’s Gotham will be getting to see the evolution of some of the Caped Crusader’s most famous villains – crime boss Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Camren Bicondova).

Fox has released a teaser featuring the trio of baddies, narrated by Detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie). Check it out after the jump.
