The nominations are in for the 37th Annual Golden Raspberry Awards (Razzies)® – and things were so bad in film that the Razzies had to expand to six nominations in each category!
The biggest winners/losers were Zoolander 2 with nine noms and Superman v. Batman: Dawn of Justice with eight. On the plus side for DC, though, Suicide Squad got only one nom – but that was for Worst Screenplay.
Other major contenders include Dirty Grandpa (6), and Gods of Egypt, Hilary’s america and Independence Day: Resurgence (5 each). For the complete list of nominations, read on.
I don’t know if this is cool or creepy. You would think someone as paranoid as Batman would have a way to escape Google Street view, but apparently not. You can explore the Batcave and Bruce Wayne’s house!
After a lot of controversy and one of the worst marketing campaigns in movie history; the movie most fanboys and girls have been dreaming of, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, finally flies into theaters with half a wing clipped. Is it the disaster we all thought it would be? Hell no! This movie hit me in most of my fan-girl parts and it’s just shy of being truly EPIC.
The cast of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will visit CONAN on Thursday, March 31st (11/10C).
Host Conan O’Brien will welcome Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), and Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Laurence Fishburne, Gal Gadot, Holly Hunter and Diane Lane, as well as director Zack Snyder.
Imagine you’re taking a tour of the Warner Bros. lot when the Batmobile pulls up alongside and Ben Affleck offers to take you for a spin. Well, that’s what happened when Affleck surprised a number of tour groups.
The publicity stunt was in support of an Omaze campaign connected to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice that supports three non-profit organizations nominated by Affleck, Cavill and Eisenberg: Affleck’s own Eastern Congo Initiative, the SEED Project and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
Fans can enter a sweepstakes to attend the premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Follow the jump for details.
The cinematic year of 2015 is now officially closed as the 88th Annual Academy Awards have been bestowed. As such, this episode of GeekScholars Movie News provides a quick recap of the winners, surprises, snubs, and memorable moments from the Oscars ceremony.
From there, the GeekScholars reveal what they are looking forward to in March, including their Rotten Tomatoes and Opening Box Office predictions for:
I keep hoping against hope to see something from this movie that will get me excited. I love Batman, I love Superman, put them together and we should have Super Hero nirvana, but all signs point to this movie being a disaster of epic proportions.
I think this is Zac Snyder’s plan to lower expectations so much that by the time we see the film, we’ll walk in with a deep sense of foreboding and come away jazzed at how “awesome,” it was. It’s my hope anyway, it’s the only way to explain this wretched marketing campaign. This final trailer isn’t as bad as the others.
The new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice features a number of notable moments: Clark Kent meeting Bruce Wayne; Lex Luthor being a genial (maybe too genial) host; a really good look at Wonder Woman, and the reason for that glimpse of Zod we saw in the first trailer, among others.
In any event, the new trailer is infinitely better than the ponderous first trailer – though it does look like it could either be goofy spring/summer fun, or potential MST3K material. Check it out following the jump.
