The Four Horsemen are back!
As you may recall, I loved the first movie and the second one seems to be suggesting that the imprisoned Thaddeus Bradley might be avenging his jailing at the hands of the four magicians, which makes me very curious (if maybe a bit less enthusiastic).
The international trailer is a zippy, flashy thing that captures the spirit and momentum of the original movie, but I have to say that I wish Isla Fisher had agreed to be in it (I love Lizzy Caplan, so I’m open to the possibilities).
Even with that one major change, though, Now You See Me 2 looks like a lot of fun. Check out the trailer after the break. Now You See Me 2 opens on June 10th.
THE FOUR HORSEMEN return for their second mind-bending adventure, elevating the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin-Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance. When the Horsemen are threatened into pulling off their most impossible heist yet, their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.
Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Lizzy Caplan, Dave Franco, Morgan Freeman, Jay Chou, Daniel Radcliffe and Michael Caine.
