I’m back and I survived last weekend’s big San Francisco Adventure known as WonderCon 2010. Friday was all about opening day and comic books, Saturday was all about pop culture the day started with spending an hour in the Press Room with the cast of ABC’s new spooky show Happy Town. We sat down with the producers, Amy Acker, Geoff Stults, and I’ll admit I don’t know who the 3rd guy was since I don’t watch Lost. I was sitting right next to Amy trying to figure out why she looked so familiar it wasn’t until later in the day when I realized, wholly s it’s Fred from Angel! How could I forget that? Right after that we went into the next room to spend a lot of quality time with Jerry Bruckheimer – who for some reason kept staring and winking at me out of the corner of his eye.
Jerry brought both of his movies to the show starting with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. I have to completely change my opinion of Jake Gyllenhaal he was funny, energetic and really commanded the room. When Jerry came back in with the cast of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice everyone started chanting Jerry, Jerry. He seemed a bit humbled by that. Nicholas looked like he really didn’t want to be there, but seemed to come alive about 10 minutes into it, it turns out he had a bad case of Laryngitis. After that interview, I ran over to pick up my iPad and made it back in time for the Toy Story 3 interview which was scheduled against Warner’s “Mystery Panel.” We were all pretty ticked that the Toy Story 3 people showed up almost an hour late. That panel included John Ratzenberger, Bonnie Hunt, Director Lee Unkrich and some other people. I have audio and video from all the conferences and will be posted them over the next few days. In the meantime check out my awesome photos.
