It would appear that Saturday Night Live has finally quit tap dancing (metaphorically speaking) and actually auditioned some black women – today announcing the addition of Sasheer Zamata to its cast as a featured player. It’s long since about time! Note the minimalist press release below.

New York, NY – January 6, 2014 – "Saturday Night Live" adds Sasheer Zamata to the cast as a featured player. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Zamata trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York.
