In a year that brought us some of many incredibly good films, we were also given more than a few that out and out sucked slough water. What’s worse, a few of them even made pretty good money.

While I’m still whittling away my favorites for 2015, here’s a list of the movies that killed many hours of my life without even the hope for recompense. At least I got to read on the bus to and from the theaters…

Igor – I Mean Victor Frankenstein – Not Worth The Wait!


When the movie Igor was announced and James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe were attached, the premise – the story of Frankenstein told from the point of view of his assistant, Igor – I thought, ‘What a great premise!’ When the film’s title was changed to Victor Frankenstein, I thought, ‘That kinda makes sense – everyone knows who he is; almost no one really thinks about Igor.’

Then we got a cool a trailer and a few really cool clips. It was all good. And then it all came crashing down. Those cool moments form the trailer and the advance clips? They’re pretty much the sum total of the movie’s good moments.

The Trailer… IT’S ALIVE: Victor Frankenstein!

Victor-Frankenstein-Quiet, Please

It’s here and it’s alive! The trailer for the story we all know – told by the man who witnessed it all, Igor Strausman! Victor Frankenstein stars Daniel Radcliffe as Igor and James McAvoy as victor Frankenstein.

For a very different take on Mary Shelley’s classic tale, check out the American (introduced by McAvoy and Radcliffe) and UK (darker, moodier) trailers for Victor Frankenstein after the jump. Victor Frankenstein will be in theaters on November 25th.
