Netflix will be the home for streaming of shows from The CW – the result of a new multi-year licensing agreement that will see Netflix streaming complete previous seasons of all of The CW’s scripted series.
These would include Supergirl, Jane the Virgin, The Flash, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Arrow and three new series: Frequency, No Tomorrow and Riverdale.
Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin play two of the most likable superheroes in TV history – and with Supergirl and The Flash crossing over networks and universes in a one of a kind adventure on Monday – they had a chance to talk about the Supergirl episode in which they meet.
Every time that Greg Berlanti – an executive producer on Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl – has been asked about a crossover between one of his CW shows and Supergirl, he always said it didn’t seem likely, but he’d love to do it if circumstances were right.
Circumstances have become right – The Flash will journey from Central City to National City to team up with Supergirl.
Kudos to Grant Gustin, CBS, The CW and DC Comics for pulling this one off. Follow the jump for details.
Killer Frost (at last!); Eobard Thawne (say what?); a cozy Barry and Iris! These are just a few revelations in the new teaser for the second half of the season on The CW’s The Flash (Tuesday, January 19, 2016).
The CW kicks of its 2015 Fall season with a two night IHEARTRADIO concert on September 29th and 30th.
The Flash and iZombie return Tuesdays, beginning October 6th; Arrow and Supernatural return to their Wednesday night time slots on October 7th. The network goes all vampire on Thursdays with The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, beginning on October 8th, and Reign and America’s Next Top Model return on Fridays, as of October 9th.
New series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend premiere on Monday, October 19th, leading into Jane the Virgin. Follow the jump for the complete schedule of The CW’s fall premieres.
I understand why television studios put their TV Season sets out in the fall instead of the summer like they used to, I don’t like it! Give it to me now dammit! Warner Home video just announced The Flash Season 1 and Arrow Season 3 come to our beloved Blu-ray this September. So if you are keeping track Gotham S1, Flash S1, and Arrow S3 are all coming in September. Warner home video generally packs their Blu-rays with tons of cool stuff, so these should be well worth picking up. All three sets also include Digital Copies. One of my biggest peeves is when studios don’t include them.
The Television Critics Association has released its nominations for the 2015 TCA Awards, celebrating the best in television programming over the last year. As usual, HBO led all networks – cable or broadcast – with seven noms.
FOX’s acclaimed and popular Empire and Amazon’s unique and groundbreaking Transparent lead the way with four nominations apiece. The final season of AMC’s Mad Men, FX’s brilliant The Americans and The CW’s terrific take on telenovelas, Jane the Virgin each grabbed three nominations.
The complete of nominations follows the jump. The 31st TCA Awards will be presented Saturday, August 8th.
