After this week there remains but one episode of Salem’s (WGN America, Sundays, 10/9C) second season, so it’s only right that everything should lead up to best cliffhanger moment of the season to date (yes, better even than when the Devil himself spoke to Cotton Mather and John Alden  through young John).

Thanks to the Countess Marburg, Mary Sibley’s plans have gone awry and her command of Salem has become a desperate bid to save her son’s life. Now we see how the endgame shapes up. It ain’t pretty…

Salem” is just weeks away from the season finale.  As season 2 premiered April 5, we watched as the witch wars continue to heighten.   Mary Sibley (Janet Montgomery) meets her match as a new witch, Countess Marburg (Lucy Lawless) threatens those around her, including her long lost son John (Oliver Bell) while   John Alden (Shane West) returns to Salem and learns he had a son with Mary.  Cotton Mather (Seth Gabel) and Anne Hale (Tazmin Merchant)  forge a new romance.  Tituba (Asheley Madekwe)  betrays Mary. Shane West took time to talk with reporters about season 2 of Salem.

Salem To Cast a Spell on SXSW!

WGN America’s supernatural it series Salem will celebrate its second season launch by sponsoring the Opening Night Party at the 22nd Annual SXSW Film Festival on Friday, March 13th.

On Saturday, March 14th, there will be Salem panel with series creator Brannon Braga and stars Janet Montgomery, Shane West, and Lucy Lawless.
