The second season of One Day At a Time – one of the best shows of 2017 – will premiere on Netflix on January 26th.
The second season of Netflix has been announced in a new video in which the show’s cast re-enact/pay homage to the opening credits from the 1975 original.
Unlike another revived/sequelized sitcom at Netflix (*cough*FullerHouse*cough*), the new One Day at a Time is not just a great sitcom, it’s proof that revivifying an old show doesn’t mean it has to be limited by the constraints of the original.
In this case, the new series is – at the very least – a match for the original in virtually every way.
When the TCM Film Festival screens John Frankenheimer’s classic The Manchurian Candidate, Angela Lansbury will be in the house.
Rita Moreno will introduce a screening of The King and I, and Billy Dee Williams will present a screening of Brian’s Song.
A conversation between investigative journalist Carl Bernstein and Spotlight’s director, Tom McCarthy, and screenwriter, Josh Singer, will be an opening night highlight. For more details on these and other recently added events, follow the jump.
