Comic-Con 2016: The Woods Ain’t The Woods Trailer: Blair Witch!

Blair-Witch-poster-s

Remember when, after the success of The Blair Witch Project, a sequel – without the involvement of either of the original’s creators – was rushed into production and promptly tanked!

Well, Lionsgate’s release The Woods isn’t actually The Woods – it’s a Blair Witch sequel from the guys (Eduardo Sanchez and Daniel Myrick) who actually brought The Blair Witch Project. To make that connection even stronger, the film entitled Blair Witch.

The trailer, which generated a very positive vibe at Comic-Con 2016, can be viewed after the break. Blair Witch will open on September 16th.

Comic-Con 2016: Raised in the Streets Trailer: King Arthur: Legend of the Sword!

While Guy Ritchie’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E…. shall we say ‘underperforming’… he set his sights on the King Arthur legend.

As you might expect, it’s a vastly different interpretation than we’ve seen before – though it is a distinctly Ritchie production.

The first trailer was shown at Comic-Con 2016 today – but if, like me, you couldn’t afford to go, you can view it by simply following the jump.

Comic-Con 2016: That’s Neat Trailer: Wonder Woman!

WW Poster

Following hard on the heels of yesterday’s release of the first poster for Wonder Woman, Warner Bros. brought the first trailer for the film to the Con today.

The trailer shows Princess Diana discovering Steve Trevor washed up on the shores of Themiscyra and quick moves through her arrival in Man’s World and its levels (poor fishing village, glittering party) before finding herself in the middle of WWI.

It looks amazing! See for yourselves – it unfolds just after the break.

Warner Bros. dropped the first trailer for Kong: Skull Island today at Comic-Con 2016. If size means anything, this should be huge at the box office.

Certainly, the trailer got my attention – and the cast, including Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, John C. Reilly and Tom Hiddleston.

Check it out after the break. Kong: Skull Island opens on March 10th, 2017.

Comic-Con 2016: Suicide Squad toasts Hall H for Honor Among Thieves!

SUICIDE SQUAD

The first trailer for Suicide Squad emphasized the film’s dramatic possibilities. Since then, we’ve gotten a couple trailers that play into movie’s comedy potential.

Today, in Hall H at Comic-Con 2016, the final trailer (Thank Squad it’s almost here) dropped with some intensity, reminding us that Suicide Squad may be crazy but it’s not stupid.

Comic-Con 2016: Starz Announces Pushing Daisies Reunion for American Gods!

Fans of Bryan Fuller’s brilliant but canceled-far-too-soon series Pushing Daisies should be ecstatic over the news that Fuller’s adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods has signed Kristin Chenoweth.

Comic-Con 2016: Valiant to Ship 100,000 Free Copies of Faith #1 to Retailers!

Sometimes, something really radical happens; something so unexpected it makes you think positive thoughts about the world.

The NBA pulling the All-Star game out of North Carolina for on principal is one (the league will lose money, but Charlotte will lose a ton more).

Now there’s Valiant Entertainment, which announced today that it will be shipping 100,000 copies of its breakout hit, Faith #1, to retailers for free! As in, ‘they’re on us guys.’

That is, pardon the expression, a lot of faith to show in a title – even if it is the second printing.

Follow the jump to read the press release and check out a ton of preview pages – for Faith #1 & #2 and upcoming Valiant titles Britannia, Bloodshot U.S.A., Generation Zero, Harbinger Renegades, Savage and Divinity III.
