AMC has renewed Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul for a fourth ten-episode season.
The show follows Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), a struggling lawyer – and decent guy who doesn’t mind cutting a few corners on occasion – as he evolves (or is it devolves) into the conscience-free Saul Goodman we first met in Breaking Bad.
AMC and Citizens Parking are teaming up to bring Gus Fring’s Los Pollos Hermanos to Los Angeles and New York City.
Following the successful grand unveiling at SXSW, the arrival of Gus Fring’s famous meth industry chicken franchise/front will debut in Los Angels on March 29th/30th and follow that up with two days in New York – April 9th/10th.
The pop-up restaurants herald the debut of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) on Better Call Saul.
Season three of Better Call Saul premieres on Monday, April 10th (AMC, 10/9C).
Special editions of ‘Talking’ with Chris Hardwick have been scheduled to follow the third season premiere and finale of Better Call Saul on Monday, April 10th and Monday, June 12th (11/10C).
The hour-long, program Talking Saul will feature as guests members of BCS’ cast, producers and celebrity fans – series creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould and cast members Rhea Seehorn (Kim Wexler) and Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut) are scheduled for the first episode.
AMC is taking its largest contingent ever to SXSW 2017 – with panels, signings, a screening and a pop up restaurant!
The network’s big screening is the world premiere of The Son – followed by a Q&A with star Pierce Brosnan.
Preacher Season Two will be the subject of a panel with executive producer Seth Rogen, showrunner Sam Catlin and co-executive producer/comics creator Garth Ennis.
The most unusual event is the pop up Los Pollos Hermanos restaurant – where Better Call Saul fans can sample Gus Fring’s menu from Friday, March 10th to Sunday, March 12th – and maybe even run into Bob Odenkirk and/or Giancarlo Esposito on Sunday.
AMC has announced the premiere dates for its Winter/Spring 2017 slate – Season Two of Into the Badlands, Better Call Saul and The Son.
Martial arts drama Into the Badlands returns on Sunday, March 19th; new series The Son (bringing Pierce Brosnan back to series television for the first time since Remington Steele) makes its debut on Saturday, April 8th, and Better Call Saul returns to its familiar Monday night slot on April 10th.
Series details and premiere times follow the jump.
Say Happy Valentine’s with The Walking Dead, Comic Book Men and Better Call Saul.
The Walking Dead’s winter premiere will bring a little heart (and assorted other organs) to your homes on Sunday, February 14th (9/8C) – followed by a little four-color geekery on the winter premiere of Kevin Smith’s Comic Book Men (Midnight/11C).
Then, on Monday, February 15th (9/8C), the network brings Slippin’ Jimmy McGill in Better Call Saul’s second season premiere. Follow the jump for details on all three premieres.
