Berger Books, the Dark Horse Imprint headed by legendary editor Karen Berger, has announced its next series – a futuristic, dystopian gender-flipped take on Charles Dickens’ classic novel Oliver Twist: Olivia Twist.
International bestselling author Darin Strauss and short fiction writer Adam Dalva will pen the story, while artist Emma Vieceli and colorist Lee Loughridge will provide art and color.

Earlier this year, Dark Horse announced a new imprint, Berger Books, a new line of creator-earned books and graphic novels, from award-winning editor, Karen Berger.
In advance of San Diego Comic-Con 2017 – and the panel Introduction to Berger Books – Dark Horse announces the first four titles to be released by the new imprint: Hungry Ghosts by Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose; Incognegro: Renaissance by Mat Johnson and Warren Pleece; Mata Hari by Emma Beeby and Ariela Kristantina, and The Seeds by David Aja and Ann Nocenti.
Berger Books will also publish a 10th Anniversary edition of Dave Gibbons’ graphic novel The Originals – with 32 pages of ‘never-before-seen development art, process pieces, and behind the scenes extras’—all annotated by Gibbons; and a 10th Anniversary edition of Incognegro: A Graphic Mystery by Mat Johnson and Warren Pleece.

Karen Berger – founder and original editor of DC Comics’ influential Vertigo imprint – will will acquire, edit, and oversee Berger Books, a new line of creator-owned comic books and graphic novels to be published by Dark Horse Comics.
Berger – whose run at Vertigo found her overseeing such classic titles as Sandman, V for Vendetta, Preacher, Swamp Thing, Fables, Hellblazer, Y: The Last Man, and 100 Bullets – will work from her home on the East Coast.
Like all imprints under the Dark Horse banner, Berger books will be distributed by Penguin Random House.
