Touchstone’s Strange Magic tells a fantasy tale through the use of hit songs from the past six decades. The character and set design remind of legendary artist Bran Froud and the result is, to say the least, unique.

One of the most entertaining shows of the summer, Matador is a fast-paced spy series centered on Tony Bravo, a up & coming star in pro soccer – who happens to be an undercover agent for the CIA. The series features smart, fast-paced action, global conspiracies, heart-warming family moments and even a bit of soccer.

El Rey’s Matador (Tuesdays, 9/8C) is the second original scripted series for the network and catches the cachet of the World Cup, the idea of the 1% taking over the world, and good old espionage. It’s a bit like a current take of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. with a Hispanic Napoleon Solo. It’s smart, fun and knowing.

The series follows the exploits of rising soccer star Tony "Matador" Bravo (Gabriel Luna), whose playboy antics are a cover for his real job – CIA operative! Matador premieres on El Rey on Tuesday, July 15th.
Following the success of its first scripted drama, From Duck Till Dawn, El Rey will debut its second original scripted drama, Matador, on Tuesday, July 15th (9/8C).
The series stars Gabriel Luna as soccer star Tony ‘Matador’ Gravo whose legendary playboy reputation is, in fact, a cover – he’s actually an operative for a little known branch of the CIA.
