When last we left our friends at Burn Notice, Michael Westen was unconscious, bloody with multiple gunshot wounds and lying on the pavement in front of a burning SUV. Today we start things up right where we left off…well three days later, in a hospital room, Michael beat up from his extensive injuries but ready to take on the bad guys of Miami.
After being knocked out for three days in the hospital Fiona decides it’s time for Michael to wake up and slaps him around a little as he lies asleep in the hospital bed after surviving two surgeries to repair damage from his gunshot wounds.
They both realize the book (aka the bible) containing the noc list of all the people who burned Michael is on the loose and both Michael and Fiona are eager to find the list and take some people out.
Jesse decides to help find the bible and finish what they started together but wants nothing to do with the old gang. He still feels betrayed and hasn’t let that go but willing to do what’s right to help the team recover the bible.
While hooked up to his IV, Michael and Sam take a stroll around the hospital when mass casualties arrive and the duo realize the explosion that caused the sudden surge at the hospital was caused by a former client (the criminal defense attorney) seeking revenge for his daughters kidnapping who partnered with Denise Barfield, a mentally unstable would-be vigilantly with a taste for delivering mail bombs to unsuspecting criminals and that more murder and mayhem was about to ensue.
The series is back in action and continues to satisfy the craving! The Burn Notice team is hunting the crazy South Beach bomber delivering explosives to criminals of Miami and a few unfortunate civilians all the while Michael is running at half capacity. I guess he shouldn’t have checked himself out of the hospital two weeks early while recovering from massive gunshot wound!
