MOVIE NEWS: Breakfast Club Director, John Hughes Has Died!

John Hughes, the filmmaker who most aptly translated the teen condition to film in the ‘80s, has died, according to a press release from spokeswoman Michelle Bega.

Hughes, 59, died of a heart attack while on a morning walk.

With films like Pretty in Pink, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and the Breakfast Club, Hughes tapped into the both the angst and dreams of ‘80s adolescents. He made stars of Matthew Broderick, Molly Ringwald and Judd Nelson, among others.
