“Black Dynamite” is back for season 2 and opens Oct. 18, 2014 on Adult Swim! The animated tv series is based on the 2009 movie “Black Dynamite”. This action comedy-spoof follows ex-CIA agent and lady’s man Black Dynamite, who’s out to avenge the death of his brother against kung-fu masters, drug-dealing pimps and The Man. Voice talent features the original cast members Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley, and Byron Minns reprising their roles as Black Dynamite, Cream Corn, Honeybee, and Bullhorn, , respectively. I had the opportunity to talk with Kym and Byron about the exciting upcoming season for “Black Dynamite.”

The hilarious Kym Whitley (“I Love You, Man”, “Along Came Polly”, “Deliver Us From Eva”) is a stand up comedian from Ohio whose docu-series “Raising Whitley” premiere on the Oprah Winfrey network (OWN) last year made it the 5th biggest premiere in the history of the network. She was nominated as best supporting actress for a BET comedy award for “Deliver Us From Eva”.
Byron Minns (“Forrest Gump”, “Black Dynamite”) is an actor and writer who was nominated for the Black Reel Awards along with Michael Jai White and Scott Sanders for the best original screenplay. Byron has had numerous film and tv roles. This multi-talented actor continues to shine with his talents as writer and actor through “Black Dynamite”.
Kym recounts how she actually embodies Honeybee’s personality, new changes for Honeybee in this season, and working with this great cast. Byron talks about what makes Black Dynamite stand out from other cartoons, the social issues the show tackles, and what it’s like to play Bullhorn. Check out their interview on “Black Dynamite”!
