Activision excels on Spike TV’s show

Activision Publishing took home several top honors at Spike TV’s annual “Video Game Awards 2009” show, held over the weekend at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

Infinity Ward’s spectacular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 won “Best Multiplayer Game” and “Best Shooter.” FreeStyleGames’ DJ Hero took home “Best Soundtrack,” while Megan Fox won the award for “Best Performance by a Human Female” in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the game. X-Men Origins: Wolverine won the awards for ”Best Cast” and “Best Performance by Human Male” for Hugh Jackman’s performance.

In other categories, Uncharted 2 took home the prize for Best Video Game of the Year, while The Beatles: Rock Band won Best Music Game of 2009.
