Crap really hit the fan last week, now we have to deal with the fallout. What’s going to happen now that Dr. Leekie is no more and Donnie knows the truth? Cosima is getting sicker and more desperate, she’s testing Kira’s DNA for a possible cure. We haven’t seen Helena in a few weeks. Sarah has formed an uneasy truce with Mrs. S and we still have to deal with the Felix situation.
Tony The Irish Trans Clone
Finally we get a new clone, the weirdly bearded Irish Tony the Trans clone. He and some guy are running from something and Before he dies, he makes Tony promise to find the cop Beth Childs and deliver a message. He’s surprised to see Art who takes him to Felix. One of the most uncomfortable, oogiest scenes in the series run occurs. Tony doesn’t trust Felix and pushes his buttons, she knows something weird is going on when she sees a painting of Sarah. Later she delivers the message
Mrs. S. Feeling the Power
Sarah brings Kira to Mrs S. who is still holding Rachel’s father Duncan, who now insists on being called Ethan, as a bargaining chip. Mrs S. is feeling a little high on power. As Scott says, girl fights are mean. Cosima locks Delphine out of the lab. Rachel tells her that Dr. Leekie died of a heart attack on the corporate plane but she doesn’t buy it.
Rachel offers Sarah a new deal. Delphine tells Cosima that Duncan/Ethan’s genes may hold the cure and not Kira. Rachel goes crazy but the sequence is shot so weirdly that we don’t know why. Is it because Duncan told her they were all intentionally made barren and that Sarah was a “mistake” or because creepy Paul is missing?
Ethan hides some of his notes in Kira’s book. Cosima is lying at death’s door by episode end. I don’t understand why she is the only clone that is actually sick.
Allison and Donnie Two Killers In Love
Allison finally returns home from rehab and isn’t happy to find a drunk Donnie. She yells at him and in her mom voice tells him to take a day and think about what he did. She later catches Donnie attempting to leave and confronts him, they have a nice heart to heart, she confesses that she killed Aynsley and Donnie comes clean about Leekie who is still in the back of Donnie’s trunk.
Conclusion
Solid episode, though not as good as last weeks, I don’t like the new clone and not digging his look. There was a lot of good Felix this week and not enough of Allison. Most of the episode centered around Tony who leaves at the end, although I’m positive this won’t be the last we see of him. Honestly, I expected a lot more new clones this season, but I’m glad they haven’t overdone the gimmick. This episode felt a lot like padding.
