Things are rapidly coming to a head on Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency (BBC America, Saturdays, 9/8C) – last week we saw the arrival of the boat in Bergsberg and now we get to see something very special about The Boy. It’s not enough (for us) to put it all together, but it just might be Dirk.
The exclusive curtain-raiser for the seven-part Blue Planet II features a Hans Zimmer and Radiohead musical collaboration, titled (ocean) bloom, which is a fusion of Planet Earth: Blue Planet II’s main theme with a reimagined version of Bloom, a song Thom Yorke was prophetically inspired to write having watched 2001’s The Blue Planet.
It debuted today during the World Premiere of Planet Earth: Blue Planet II in London – a five-minute prequel for the landmark series has become the BBC’s first ever natural history global simulcast.
BBC America’s eight part series Queers sees eight established writers respond to the 50th anniversary of The Sexual Offences Act which partially decriminalized homosexual acts between men in the UK, will air throughout the day on October 11 – now known as National Coming Out Day.
Season two of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency continues its pattern of everything being connected – to the point that one of those connections is the magical world of Wendimoor.
That’s right, Dirk, Todd and Farah are about to make connections that lead them to face off with an evil wizard – but only if Todd and Farah can rescue Dirk from Blackwing (now under new/incompetent management).
Season two of Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency returns to BBC America on Saturday, October 14th (9/8C).
