Let’s let series creator Neil Cross put it out there: ‘Now what? It’s a question Idris and I get asked a lot. What happened to John Luther after we last saw him striding unbowed through the streets of his city, his blood red London? It can’t be over, can it? There’s so much we don’t know. So much unfinished business…
It’s been three years since the last time we visited Broadchurch. Both Detective Inspector Alec Hardy and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller are back on the team at Broadchruch CID after some hopefully recuperative time away when a local woman is sexually assaulted.
Evidence suggests this was not an opportunistic attack; it was planned.
DI Hardy and DS Miller must catch the person responsible or there could well be more such attacks.
The fifth episode of Doctor Who: Season 10 finds The Doctor and Bill on a space station that seems to want to rid itself of oxygen and spacesuits that want to kill their wearers – which might be why the episode is called Oxygen.
Doctor Who airs on Saturdays (9/8C) on BBC America.
As a companion to The Doctor, Matt Lucas’ Nardole is only slightly less new than Bill Potts.
Nardole is something of a cipher – hiding the fact that he’s not entirely dim (he can fly the TARDIS, people!) behind the alien equivalent of an ‘aw, shucks’ demeanor, he is quite capable of keeping The Doctor from isolating himself post-tragedy (see: The Husbands of River Song), and turning high drama to perfect silliness (or vice-versa) with a single line.
In the following interview, Lucas holds forth on the new season of Doctor Who, The Doctor’s new companion, Bill Potts, and more.
Doctor Who returns to BBC America on Saturday, April 15th.
