UNREST is the brainchild of filmaker Jason Todd Ipson, MD. For UNREST, Ipson, a teacher and former surgeon, who has taken the familiar elements of the horror genre and combined them with his knowledge of the world of medical students to create an intelligent medical thriller that explores the issues around mortality and the separation of body and soul.
Ipson says he has always had a passion for creating art and for being involved in the process of bringing things to life. Even when he started college at the very early age of 16 and switched to the sciences, earning a degree in biology and chemistry, then onto medical school to become a doctor, he never lost that desire to be a filmmaker.
