The Princess and the Frog is a Reference Quality Blu-ray. Michelle’s Review!

Wow, Disney, just Wow! I didn’t see The Princess and the Frog in the theater because the trailers did nothing for me, but wow, I LOVE this movie. It manages to walk that fine line of being completely different from other Disney Animated fare while still adhering to the Disney traditions. The story is perfect and the Animation flawless. In this age of computer animation, The Princess and the Frog shows why there’s no substitution for traditional hand drawn animation. This movie has so much heart and soul in every stroke. As a black woman this is the first time I’ve watched a Disney animated film that really spoke to me. Disney Home Video does this movie justice on Blu-ray – it is a flawless transfer, packed with really good extras. This is one of the best Blu-rays of 2010.

Comments

There’s not much left to say, this Blu-ray features a flawless transfer of one of the best Animated films in years, it’s has a pretty exhaustive list of extras including both a DVD and Digital copy of the movie. The menu navigation isn’t as cluttered as most Disney Blu-rays/DVDs. This is a reference level release. Everyone should have this in their Blu-ray collection.
