Synopsis:
Freddie is an alcoholic drifter dealing with the trauma of World War Two. By chance, he meets Lancaster, the charismatic leader of The Cause. As Freddie adheres to Lancaster’s religious teachings, the cult’s inner circle sees him as a threat.
