The 100 EP305 – Hakeldama Recap and Review

the-100-s2

The 100 season 3 has been a weird mix of awesomeness and stupidity in its first 4 episodes. After the Arkadians slaughtered 300 of Lexa’s peacekeepers and Lexa finally getting her revenge on the Ice Queen last week we start this week with the aftermath.

Pike, Bellamy and his gang of thugs all return to the Ark covered and blood, but unharmed. Abby asks Kane how is it possible to for 10 people to take out 300 warriors without having a single injury? That is certainly a question to ask Abby.  We get few minutes of really nice Clexa moments as they ride towards Arkadia to deliver the Ice Queen’s body as proof that they got their justice for the mountain. Lexa ask Clark how she feels about going home and she says Arkadia isn’t her home anymore. As they reach the ridge they see the Carnage and find Indra.

The Arkadians started with the Archers while they were looking North for Ice Nation Warriors and then shot everyone while they slept and then killed all the wounded. They were going to kill Indra but in the only decent decision Bellamy has made all season he finally convinced Pike to let her live and to deliver a message. Lexa went postal and promised to lay waste to Arkadia but Clarke is trying to convince her to let her fix this. Lexa’s not having any of it.

Clarke is just naive, how many times can the Arkers break truce’s with Lexa and expect to get a pardon? They deserve to get wiped out. Kane sneaks Octavia out of the Ark to talk to Indra and find out what happened.

Pike immediately starts plans to expand Arkadia out all the way to TonDC and plans on wiping it out. Poor TonDC, how many times can one village be wiped out? Bellamy tells Pike that he went to far and Pike convinces Bellamy that they were right in what they did because they didn’t have the medical facilities to treat them and to think about the lives he saved. Raven is upset at Abby won’t clear her for duty.

Jaha finally makes it back home where the guards kill his traveling buddy Ontari. Can I take a moment to say how much I LOATHE the entire City of Light Story Line? It’s basically the prequel to the Matrix that no one asked for. But we’ll see where it goes.

Where Jaha goes Murphy won’t be far behind, he’s now traveling with Emori.  Jaha tries to spread the good word about The City of Light to the people of the Ark. Pike doesn’t buy into it. Damn, there goes my theory that Pike has been working with Abby all this time. Pike tells Jaha to go be him as long as he stays out of Pike’s way.

Octavia is horrified by what the Arkers did and tells Lexa what happened. Clarke doesn’t believe her and Octavia tells her she doesn’t know anything because she abandoned them. Clarke begs Octavia to help her get into camp so she can talk with Bellamy. Bellamy is the key to get to Pike.

Pike forces Abby to kick all the sick Grounders out of Camp and Lincoln tries to stop it. Bellamy tells Clarke off and says he never trusted Grounders that they never honored any agreements. Pot meet Kettle. He slaps the cuffs on her and takes her to holding when Octavia distracts Bellamy long enough for her to hit him with the shock stick.

Emori convinces John to go with her to find Jaha and her brother Lexa’s guards find Murphy and threatens to kill him for stealing in their territory. They see Allie’s little blue pill on the ground and recognize it as the “sacred symbol,” and drag Murphy somewhere.

Clarke convinces Lexa not to retaliate and once again let the Arkers get away with literal murder and another massacre without retribution.

Comments

I’m still on The 100 Bandwagon, but things need to stabilize because after the big build up this episode was a huge letdown. The idea that Lexa and the coalition aren’t going to get any kind of justice is sickening. Not only that but Clarke was being incredibly naive and self serving when she had the gall to lecture Lexa about Mercy.

How many times can Lexa turn the other cheek before The Arkers have to give up something. Just once I’d like to see them go “we were wrong, what can we do to make this right.” In the entire 3 seasons it’s always been Lexa who backs down only to get spit in the face a few weeks later. Are we really supposed to believe that Pike and Bellamy are going to be satisfied with wiping out this army?

No, they are warmongers and will attack the grounders for no reason again which will further make Lexa look like a fool for listening to Clarke. Gah! This episode actively kind of pissed me off.
