If my cat were still alive, he’d be excited about this news, because Corin Nemec was one of the stars of my cat’s favorite movie, Operation Dumbo Drop.

The Supernatural publicist at Warner Brothers has confirmed to Eclipsemagazine that the former star of the teen sitcom, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose has been cast in the recurring role of Christian Campbell for the upcoming season six of Supernatural. Christian Campbell is a cousin to Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester on their mother’s side of the family.  While little is known about the character beyond this family connection, it would be my guess that Christian Campbell is a hunter the same as his grandfather Samuel Campbell (played by Mitch Pileggi) and his aunt Mary Winchester (played alternately by Samantha Smith and Amy Gumenick), who is the mother of Sam and Dean Winchester.

Corin Nemec is no stranger to working on series about otherworldly events, having spent time on the sixth season of the hit series Stargate: SG1 as Jonas Quinn who joined the planet hopping team lead by Richard Dean Anderson’s Colonel Jack O’Neill. Corin Nemec also worked on the Syfy Channel mini-series The Stand, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.

My cat loved to watch Supernatural with me too, so I’m sure he would be doubly delighted to know that Corin Nemec is on board for season six. Stay tuned to Eclipsemagazine as we bring more updates and information about the character of Christian Campbell and the sixth season of the hit CW series Supernatural.
