Taxi: Fare to Middling

Taxi missed its moment. From beginning to end, this breezy comedy feels like a movie that should have come out in the summer. If you see this movie, you should feel the relief of stepping into a cool theater on a hot day. That feeling, not entirely unlike getting into a nice air-conditioned cab instead of walking those 8-10 sweaty blocks, might make this bit of fluff seem like a welcome luxury. Unfortunately, it is now October.
