AMC has renewed its ‘mystical modern-day fable,’ Lodge 49 ahead of its first season finale.
Lodge 49 is ‘a light-hearted, endearing modern fable set in Long Beach, California about a disarmingly optimistic local ex-surfer, Dud (Russell), who’s drifting after the death of his father and collapse of the family business.’
Lodge 49 follows Better Call on Mondays (10/9C).

AMC has cast Brent Jennings, Sonya Cassidy, Linda Emond, David Pasquesi, and Eric Allan Kramer Join as series regulars in its new series, Lodge 49.
The series stars Wyatt Russell (above) as Dud, a likable ex-surfer who attempts to maintain his positive outlook on life while still reeling from the death of his father, the collapse of the family business, and any semblance of the idyllic middle-class life he knew.
Wait, why am I wasting digital space to talk about a TV Show that’s not even coming out until 2018? Ack! AMC announced that Wyatt Russell has been cast to play the lead role, Sean “Dud” Dudley, in its recently greenlit drama “Lodge 49.” The series, which is slated to air in 2018, is produced by Peter Ocko (“Pushing Daisies,” “The Office”), Jim Gavin (Author, “Middle Men”), Paul Giamatti (“Billions,” “Sideways,” “Outsiders,” “Hoke”), and Dan Carey (“Outsiders,” “Hoke” “John Dies At The End,” All Is Bright”) for AMC Studios. Ocko also serves as showrunner.
Wyatt Russell has signed on as lead in the upcoming AMC drama Lodge 49.
Russell will play Sean ‘Dud’ Dudley, a charming surfer who joins his late father’s lodge in hopes of reclaiming the happy lifestyle he lost when his father died.
Lodge 49 is slated to premiere in 2018.
Lodge 49 – a series about a man who joins a fraternal order hoping to reclaim the happy lifestyle he had before his father died – has been ordered to series, with a ten-episode first season, by AMC.
