SDCC 2017 Sizzle Reel: Lucifer!

Newly announced cast member Tom Welling doesn’t appear in the Comic-Con 2017 Season 3 Sizzle Reel for Lucifer: Season Three, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had.

A birthday stripper for Detective Decker? Amenedial dies? Lucifer flaunts his newly reattached wings in public? (And you won’t believe what Maze is up to!)

All true, but only scratching the surface!

Lucifer returns on Monday, October 2nd (8/7C).

Super Casting: Tom Welling Joins Lucifer!

Tom Welling is returning to series TV as a regular cast member of Lucifer for season three. It’s Welling first regular role since Smallville wrapped in 2011.

Welling will play  Lt. Marcus Pierce – who is everything Lucifer is not, which is to say, Strategic, reserved and well respected (for a start).

When he begins to develop a bond with Detective Chloe Decker, how can it not get up Lucifer’s nose?

Lucifer returns on Monday, October 2nd in its new timeslot (8/7C).

Devilish Fun To Continue! Lucifer Renewed!

Placing Neil Gaiman’s former Prince of Hell in a Los Angeles-set procedural has proven to be a winning formula. Lucifer has been renewed by FOX for a third season.

Currently just finished its Fall run, Lucifer fans are the getting the good news with the May 1st Spring Premiere just over two-and-a-half months away – with the egocentric (but slowly growing up) fallen angel/Prince of Hell having gone off the grid following his partner, Detective Chloe Decker’s brush with death.

With Chloe poisoned by last week’s late serial killer, Professor Jason Carlisle, Lucifer has to return home to get the antidote in the winter finale of Lucifer (FOX, Mondays, 9/8C), A Good Day To Die.

A Good Day To Die has just about everything you need for a great hour of television – including a surprisingly effective solo piano take on Killing Me Softly by a most unlikely player.

A combination of steady ratings and critical acclaim have garnered FOX series Lucifer a pickup of nine more episodes to complete a full second season order.

The series, based on the character who first appeared in DC’s Sandman comic (created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg) and his own subsequent title, has been transplanted into a procedural that pairs the Lord of Hell in Self-Exile with a female homicide detective who intrigues him because his powers of persuasion don’t work on her.

Tonight’s new episode, Monster, is a Halloween-themed ep that features a zombie wedding and a unique Halloweening team. For more, read on.

#TeamLucifer – Lucifer Does The Satanism Episode – And It’s Not What You’re Expecting!

Lucifer (FOX, Mondays, 9/8C) has turned to be a surprisingly intriguing adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comics character that mixes the Lucifer that we know from the comics with a police procedural. Even as I thoroughly enjoyed the series premiere, I didn’t know if this curious mix would work.

With #TeamLucifer, the penultimate episode of season one, I’m still waiting for it to falter and pleased to note that it shows no sign of doing so. The inevitable Satanism episode turns in unexpected directions – playing with the notion that not everything is what it seems, and evil might not come from the obvious places.
