FAN EXPO Vancouver, one of the largest fan conventions in the Pacific Northwest, gets underway on Friday, November 10th.
This year’s con includes some top-flight panels (the cast of iZombie, The Flash, Arrow and more); a swak of celebrity photo ops with likes of Grant Gustin, Henry Winkler, Famke Janssen and more; Cosplayers galore, and Sketch Duels, featuring renowned artists including Tom Grummett, Humberto Ramos, Nick Bradshaw, Tony Moore, Leonard Kirk, and more.
FAN EXPO Vancouver runs from November 10-12 at the Vancouver Convention Centre East, 999 Canada Pl, Vancouver, BC.

The CW has announced its mid-season schedule and the timeslots they are a-changing…
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow shifts to Tuesdays at 9/8C beginning January 24th; Supernatural moves up an hour to lead into the network’s new, subversive take on Archie, Riverdale, on Thursday, January 26th.
Season four of The 100 premieres on Wednesday, February 1st; Reign begins its fourth season on Friday, February 10th, The Originals’ third season premieres on Friday, March 17th and iZombie’s third season premieres on Tuesday, April 4th.
Finally, The Vampire Diaries concludes its eight-season run on Friday, March 10th.

This week we got announcements that WGN’s Underground and Outsiders are coming to DVD in the next few weeks and now The CW Network’s iZombie Season 2 is coming to Blu-ray, July 12! Are networks finally waking up and realizing that TV Shows on DVD/Blu-ray need to be released in the Summer and NOT a week or two before a show returns?

The CW’s iZombie has a new teaser out and it showcases a couple interesting bits – Liv cycling through a frat boy’s memories; Live cycling through a grumpy old man’s memories; a decidedly pale Blaine (I wonder how not being a zombie is working for him this season?), and revealing a particularly odd desire. In other words, more high quality oddness from a show that has made that its trademark.

One of the things that surprised me the most over the last few months is how much I really enjoyed iZombie it’s a quirky and fun show that I like to call Veronica Mars pt 2, only with Zombies. Why not, it is produced by Rob Thomas. If you appreciate the humor and style of Mars, Zombie is for you. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch the last 4 episodes because my crappy cable company was out for almost a month. Season 1 comes to DVD, September 29th. Really, Warner Home Video? Where the heck the Blu-ray/Digital copy version?

The CW kicks of its 2015 Fall season with a two night IHEARTRADIO concert on September 29th and 30th.
The Flash and iZombie return Tuesdays, beginning October 6th; Arrow and Supernatural return to their Wednesday night time slots on October 7th. The network goes all vampire on Thursdays with The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, beginning on October 8th, and Reign and America’s Next Top Model return on Fridays, as of October 9th.

The CW has set its 2015 midseason schedule premiere dates for its new shows.
Rob Thomas’ iZOMBIE will premiere on Tuesday, March 17th (9/8C), with Supernatural returning to Wednesdays (9/8C) beginning March 18th.
New shows Cedric’s Barber Battle (8/7C) and The Messengers (9/8C) will premiere bracketing a new cycle of Whose Line Is It Anyway? (8:30/7:30C) on Friday, April 10th.
