First off, don’t miss Misha Collins live on twitter tonight at 9pm EST. He will be checking in with the fans Misha Collins-style while the show airs on the east coast. If you haven’t read any of Misha’s tweets, you definitely don’t want to miss out tonight.
Supernatural is coming down to the wire for the 5th season’s apocalyptic storyline, so I was wondering why S5.20, The Devil You Know was such a slow moving episode it was almost standing still. About the only analogy I can come up with is that it is like the part in the roller coaster ride where you make that slow, ratcheting climb to the top of first hill the ride is about to go whizzing down. I sure hope that S5.21 and S5.22 have that kind of excitement to them cause the last episode was sort of boring. But only sort of—this is Supernatural after all so it did take some interesting twists while it was ratcheting up that hill.
In Supernatural S5.20 Castiel (Misha Collins) hadn’t back from out of nowhere yet, but the dapper, smooth talking demon Crowley (Mark Sheppard) had. And he is back with self-absorbed plans to use the Winchester brother’s battle to defeat Lucifer for his own personal gain. With Crowley back for S5.20 and tonight’s episode 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight and seeing how well he fits in and suits the storyline, it got me to thinking about something I’d like to share.

They met on the set of the Supernatural S4 opening episode Lazarus Rising when Genevieve Cortese took over the pivotal role of Ruby the Demon who claimed to be on Sam Winchester’s side in the race to stop Lillith from freeing Lucifer. Sam Winchester is played by Jared Padalecki, who stars along with Jensen Ackles, who plays older brother Dean Winchester, in the hit series. Today EclipseMagazine got direct confirmation from Padalecki’s PR rep that he is indeed engaged to Cortese.
“Yes I can confirm that Jared and Genevieve are engaged,” the publicist for Jared Padalecki stated in response to our query about the engagement, which took place on October 24, 2009 in New York City where Genevieve Cortese is reported to currently reside. Padalecki resides in Vancouver, BC while he is filming Supernatural, which is now in it’s 5th season on The CW Network Thursday nights at 9PM.
Internet rumors state the wedding is to take place in late February of this year, but no official confirmation has been made regarding this.
EclipseMagazine wishes the happy couple all the best. Look for our continued coverage of Supernatural as new episodes of Season 5 return to the CW Thursday night lineup on January 21st at 9PM EST with the S5.11 episode titled Sam, Interrupted.

It seems like it was just yesterday that Supernatural season four was gearing up to premiere with the opening episode Lazarus Rising in which we would see Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) being pulled out of hell and restored to life and body by the angel Castiel (Misha Collins who is set to become a regular in season five) and see Dean being reunited with his brother Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) whom we would find out was headed down a dark path with the demon Ruby (now played by Genevive Cortese).
Now here we are coming up on the season four finale, Lucifer Rising and the two brothers who were grateful to be brought back together are now being torn apart by their own personal issues and by the angels and demons each as chosen to side with in a race to stop the apocalypse. Lucifer Rising guest stars Jim Beaver as Bobby, Genevieve Cortese as Ruby, Misha Collins as Castiel, Katherine Boecher as Lilith, Kurt Fuller as ‘Zachariah’ and Rob Benedict as ‘Chuck.’ the episode was written and directed by Eric Kripke.
Take a look at the three sneak peek clips provided by Warner Bros/The CW Network and then tune in next Thursday, May 14th at 9PM EST on the CW Network to catch the wildest ride yet in Supernatural season four, the season finale.

Last week’s season 4 opener of Supernatural, Lazarus Rising, garnered an impressive 3.96 rating; which is the highest rating the hit Warner Bros/ CW Network series has had since the first season episode ‘Devil’s Trap’ was aired on the now defunct WB Network. In Lazarus Rising viewers saw the dramatic resurrection of Dean Winchester (played by Jensen Ackles) by the Angel Castiel (played by Misha Collins). Castiel had yanked Dean out of hell and put him back into his body because God, who has work for Dean to do, had commanded it. This resurrection reunited Dean with his brother Sam Winchester (played Jared Padalecki) who, in his grief over the loss of Dean has turned to the demon Ruby (currently played by Genevieve Cortese) to help him learn to use his special powers to fight back against the new ‘big bad’ Lillith.
The second episode of Supernatural season 4 is titled ‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Dean Winchester. This rather lengthy episode title is a take on the title of a very popular Judy Blume teen novel, titled, ‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret’. Like the novel this episode derives it’s title from, the second episode of Supernatural season 4 deals with Dean Winchester’s questions about God and why God has chosen Dean to be yanked out of hell by the Angel Castiel and given the task of ‘doing God’s work’.
