Weirdly Scary Trailer: Kevin Smith’s Tusk!

Only Kevin Smith could conceive of a horror movie incorporating walruses – and only Kevin Smith would just go ahead and make that movie. Plus, only Kevin Smith could assemble such an intriguing cast: Justin Long, Michael Parks, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez.

Smith premiered the first trailer for Tusk at Comic-Con 2014. Check it out after the jump. Tusk is slated to premiere on September 19th.

CBS’ Person of Interest took a wicked left turn at the season of season three. At the Person of Interest panel at Comic-Con 2014, one of the highlights was a trailer that captured highlights of the third season – along with some intriguing new footage from season four.

Snake Plissken Lives! BOOM! Studios Announces Escape From New York in December!

This is to officially announce that yes, BOOM! Studios will be publishing ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK comics, starting in December! High Crimes and DEAD LETTERS writer Christopher Sebela will be writing, and an artist will be named later.
Escape from New York is a cult classic sci-fi film from 1981 co-written and directed by John Carpenter. In the then-near future of 1997, Manhattan has been converted to a maximum security prison. When Air Force One crash lands there, ex-soldier Snake Plissken (played by Kurt Russell in the film) is given 22 hours to rescue the President of the United States and the sensitive information he’s carrying.

Disney XD Renews Marvel Toons for Second Season!

Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. have been picked  up by Disney XD for a second season. The announcement was made by Marvel’s Head of Television, Jeph Loeb at Comic-Con 2014.

Comic-Con 14: Arrow’s Season Three Teaser!

Arrow fans got their first look at Season Three in a dazzling trailer that features almost every character of note and introduces Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), who is better known in the DC Universe as The Atom but might first be a bit of a problem for Oliver Queen.

BOOM! Studios and IDW Present Star Trek/Planet of the Apes!

BOOM! Studios and IDW have announced that they will partner for an epic sci-fi crossover – Star Trek/Planet of the Apes. The crossover would involve the crew of the original U.S.S. Enterprise and the characters from the original Planet of the Apes movie. The plot would have Klingons backing a renegade gorilla takeover of Ape City and Captain Kirk having to team up with Dr. Zaius’ orangutans in an effort to prevent it.

Comic-Con 2014: Firefly Online–They Can’t Take The Sky From Me!

It was announced late last night at Comic-Con 2014 that Firefly is coming back – as an online game. Better, the original cast will provide the voices of the crew of the Serenity – Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Adam Baldwin, Jewel Staite… and Alan Tudyk would be voicing several characters.

The game is currently in development, but you can see a trailer, If I Were a Captain, after the jump.
