I have to admit that one of things I was excited about covering at Comic Con was the new AMC horror/drama show, The Walking Dead which is based on the graphic novel of the same name written by Robert Kirkman. The Walking Dead tells the story of life following a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, traveling in search of a safe and secure home. Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually, Teachers, Strike Back) will portray the lead role of Rick Grimes while actor Jon Bernthal (The Pacific, The Ghost Writer) will portray the character Shane, who worked with Rick in the police department before the zombie disaster. Other cast includes Laurie Holden (The Shield), who plays Andrea, one of two sisters who join the survivors of the zombie plague, Steven Yeun as Glenn, an expert scavenger and Sarah Wayne Callies (Prison Break), who plays Rick’s wife Lori.
Being the Eclipse Magazine Comic Con Roving Reporter has some of the best perks to it liked getting to talk to some very interesting people who live exciting lives – like the guys and gals of The Stunt people!
The Stunt People was founded in 2001 by Eric Jacobus, Ben Brown and Chelsea Steffensen, who are all trained in the marital arts and fighting. The three of them spent time amusing themselves by making short videos of them creating fight scenes and posting the short movies online. The videos drew the attention other locals and visitors to the website alike who became interested in creating action films. This nbrougot only brought more members to the crew, but led to the filming so such independent action films as The Fighter, Bound by Blood and Detour, all of which are available on The Stunt People’s official website
Check out Eclipse Magazine’s exclusive Comic Con Video interview with Chelsea Steffensen and other members of The Stunt People Crew.

Attendees to the panel included BRUCE WILLIS, HELEN MIRREN, and KARL URBAN
Based on the cult D.C. Comics graphic novels by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, RED is an explosive action-comedy starring Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren.
Frank (Bruce Willis), Joe (Morgan Freeswering man), Marvin (John Malkovich) and Victoria (Helen Mirren) used to be the CIA’s top agents – but the secrets they know just made them the Agency’s top targets. Now framed for assassination, they must use all of their collective cunning, experience and teamwork to stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers and stay alive. To stop the operation, the team embarks on an impossible, cross-country mission to break into the top-secret CIA headquarters, where they will uncover one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.
A Contract With God, by Will Eisner – one of the earliest and most influential graphic novels – is being adapted as a live action film. Given that, with the creation of his greatest masked hero, The Spirit, Eisner pioneered the use of cinematic techniques in comics, it seems only right and natural that his first graphic novel should find its way to the actual cinematic medium. The only question is this: why did it take so long?
The more I hear about Shattered Dimensions, the more I can’t wait to play it at Activision’s upcoming NY. Neil Patrick Harris will reprise his role as Spider-Man in Activision’s upcoming Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, which is currently being showcased at San Diego Comic-Con. In the game, players traverse through four unique worlds from Spider-Man lore and take on the role of four distinctly different Spider-Men – Amazing, Ultimate, Noir and 2099 – which will be brought to life by Neil Patrick Harris along with Josh Keaton, Christopher Daniel Barnes and Dan Gilvezan, respectively.
It’s been rumored and accepted as fact that fan favorite Joss Whedon was directing The new Avengers Movie, Now it’s Official. The announcement came during a panel at the annual mob event known as San Diego Comic Con. He responded to a question saying, “the Avengers directing job is not an official thing from Marvel but …I’m making it official RIGHT NOW!” I don’t know, I love me some Buffy and Angel, but is Whedon really up to directing a major Hollywood movie?
Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Evil Dead) has signed on to produce and direct the film adaptation of EARP: SAINTS FOR SINNERS, based on Radical Publishing’s miniseries created by Matt Cirulnick and David Manpearl and written by Matt Cirulnick and M. Zachary Sherman. The miniseries places a new version of the legendary Wyatt Earp in a gritty adventure set in a dystopian future.
