BOOM! Studios’ announced Sleepy Hollow four-issue miniseries has a premiere date: October 15th – just in time for Halloween.
From writer Marguerite Bennett and artist Jorge Coelho, the series opens with Ichabod Crane and Lt. Abby Mills glad to see a series of minor miracles of the positive kind occurring in Sleepy Hollow – but, as we’ve come to expect, all is not as it seems.

BOOM! Studios’ new series, Fiction Squad, takes a novel approach to fairy tales – call it fairy tale noir. From Paul Jenkins (Fairy Quest) and Ramon Bachs (Marvel’s Civil War: Front Line), its publisher describes Fiction Squad as ‘fairy tales gone wrong.’
Set in the mythical land of Fablewood – scene of previous BOOM! Studios series Fairy Quest – Fiction Squad is a classic hard-boiled detective series that turns the familiar into something even stranger and wilder as a detective from an unfinished novel uncovers a conspiracy that could ‘unmaking storytelling itself!’ (Seriously, they had me at Humpty Dumpty as a whodunit!)

Comics titan George Pérez is hitting the road for a nationwide signing tour to promote his first original series in over a decade – George Pérez’s Sirens from BOOM! Studios.
Pérez will visit six comics shops and three conventions in seven states, beginning with Baltimore Comic-Con (September 5-7) – accompanied by the real life friends and fans who inspired the characters in the series. For details, follow the jump.

With spies continuing to be in the zeitgeist, it occurred to Marguerite Bennett (Batgirl, Sleepy Hollow) that it would make for an interesting story to look at the personal cost of the spy business.
Butterfly explores the relationship between an estranged father and daughter couched win terms of a spy thriller. Written by Bennet and screenwriter Arash Amel (Erased), with art by Antonio Fusco (G.I. Joe: Cobra), Butterfly is BOOM! STUDIOS, with first issue due in stores on September 24th. Studios’ announcement that George Pérez’s Sirens, a six-issue miniseries, will be in comics shops on September 17th counts a big news! The artist who defined the original Teen Titans, one of the best takes on Wonder Woman and some of The Avengers’ greatest adventures has created a series that looks to be terrific fun. Studios limited series from writer Dan Abnett (the guy whose take on Guardians of the Galaxy was inspiration for the hit Marvel movie) and artist I.N.J Culbard (H.P. Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness).
It’s 1930s England and three friends – Clive, Peter, and Gilbert – suddenly find their rural community invade by aliens! But what can a rabbit, a dog and a fox do against the aliens and their advanced technology?

Remember last week’s visual teasers for #WhoCoveredItUp like the one above? They were for a new, ongoing series from BOOM! Studios called Deep State by Justin Jordan and artist Ariela Kristantina.
This new series is about a government operative named John Harrow. He’s the go-to guy for keeping government secrets, well, secret. The series opens with Harrow recruiting a new partner to help deal with a sticky situation – a secret (no, not THAT one) about the moon landing has gotten out. And there is fallout – serious fallout.

BOOM! Studios has set up a bundle of its titles to be downloaded from Humble Bundle to benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. The cost of the basic bundle is, essentially, pay what you want – but if a buyer chooses to pay more than the average amount shown on the page, more titles become available – over 90 issues of BOOM! Studio titles in all.
The money goes to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund – a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the protection of first amendment rights for the comic book form.
